Over the years I have used Cakewalk software for sysex. Back in September (2004) I tried Midi-Ox and that worked, too (if I remember correctly). I have no experience with Cubase. As I understand it, Midi-ox is free for non-commercial use. So, if the terms of the license apply to you, check it out. I thought it was quite handy (although I am accustomed to handling sysex with Cakewalk). Summa, thanks for moving the wallpapers and making space here for the VZ patches. I am not sure I checked out the ones you posted before, but I look forward to (re-)hearing them. (Currently, my VZ- 8m is not set up.) Also, a few months ago someone posted a link to a cool new age disco [techno?] tune that featured custom VZ percussion and VZ bass patches. Any chance we can get some of those presets posted here? --Steve
