There's still hope, since it sounds like you haven't initialized the
whole system yet.  Here's the procedure to reset the data for the
entire keyboard.

1. Turn the CZ-1 off.
2. Hold down the INITIALIZE button.
3. While still pressing the initialize button, turn CZ-1 on.
4. LCD will ask "SYSTEM ALL INITIALIZE (Y/N)?" Keep holding the
INITIALIZE button and also press the YES button.
5. If all goes well the LCD will say "SYSTEM INITIALIZED !!"

This could clear up a lot of problems you are having.  This is really
the first thing to do when getting a CZ out of storage, I think.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
