N00b here. I have no rack recommendations. My siblings and I, together, have 6 CZs. 4 of them for more than 20 years. The only one that stopped working was one that had batteries left in it until they corroded the surrounding area. I took it and bypassed the battery/wallwart connection area, and put a new wallwart connection in a place which prevented (my brother from) inserting batteries! So, all 6 are working. The point is, in our experience, these are _very_ reliable gadgets. Some of them have only seen mild road use, but some of them have fairly high mileage (but with careful handling). As far as I know, there is no rack replacement, and I'll bet there won't be one. For plan B: someone made a Yamaha DX7 voice generator for CSound, so it should be possible to make a CZ voice generator for CSound. Maybe not _easy_, but the CZ voice is simpler than that of the DX7 (but the CZ has more complex waveforms and more versatile EGs. Before anyone jumps on me, let me say that 4 of the above-mentioned CZs [2 101s, a 5000, and a 1] are mine, as well as a Yamaha TX816, TX81Z, and FS1R - and I ain't giving any of them up! - call me a FM and IPD fanatic).
