I think I do need a hardware MIDI transposer. As an example, the first
bassdrum patch on the MC-505 is on the B note to the left of the
leftmost C on the CZ-1.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
