Thanks, Cliff. I will take a listen to those. After my post, I played around some more with one of my old patches that I had tweaked recently. Not having created new sounds for the VZ in decades, it was like re-teaching my self the voice architechture. I "discovered" that envelopes do not have to end at zero. (I probably knew that years ago.) This is useful for creating an infinite sustain. I have also started to get some effects by having slow rising envelopes as modulators (via internal and external phase). Perhaps when I get a few, I will uploaded a bank-in-progress in the files board. Again, thanks for your reply on this thread--which I have renamed VZ programming: long-form patches. --Steve --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "cliffe123" <cliffe123@...> wrote: > > In terms of self morphing? I think I have and one example can be found in cliffs set-1, Op Mem A-3. This is generally a two patched voice opmem. For this I used mod wheel 1 and inside of it the A ENV BIAS should be turned ON. The single patch in normal mode to work for the op mem, example MENU1, VALUE 14 of AMP SENS, and SENSITIVITY=7 for M1 or modual-1 for that particular mod wheel tweeking. > > Another cool affect you can also try and this is just on the normal patch itself, patch name called HILLAGE LIKE on voice D-6 in cliffs set-2. Play any keys without taking ur fingers off or sort of glide through the keys and you'll notice that sweeping effect. (without the use of a mod wheel) Anyway study them and see what you can incorperate them with. Hope i've answered all your questions.........
