if you like the external control you should see what those sound modules are capabile of if the jup and cz has you gushing try a roland d-110 or roland jv880 control by prophet2000 filter resonance all nprm and data control , plus live sys ex record/pg-10 while play for manipulation i don't have full comperhension yet cause you said cz1 and i have only cz101 ,, its easy to assume we have differences allready total control!!! only one trouble ,, i only have ten fingers and about 100 tracks of data to control like simplistic music too , variation is good charles ----- Original Message ----- From: "zubibaja" <zubibaja@...> To: <CZsynth@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Friday, May 21, 2010 9:14 AM Subject: [CZsynth] Re: Who Still Uses A CZ? >I settled for a very cheap CZ5000 and am now just getting to grips with its >built in sequencer. The thing with the CZ-1\ufffds velocity sensivility is not just volume control, but pitch and especially timbre control. That makes is it, by far, the most usefull and versatile CZ of all. Imagine having realtime control of the pitch of one of the oscillators when using ring or noise modulation. Or doing analogue type sequences with different DCW levels on each note... And volume control is useful sometimes. My Jupiter-6 took another dimention when I installed the Europa upgrade and was able to control filter cutoff (or any other parameter) with velocity... ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
