Just a point of comparison really. I havn't seen a working JP8 for under 2000 bucks for years, but a DSS1 seems to go for about 1/10th of that at the most. And it's not fair to think of the DSS1 in terms of sampling capabilities - they are limited in "modern" terms, but look at it as a proper analogue synth, and it is a monster.
