Are you guys really going to compare a Jupiter 8 and a dss-1? Come on. They are 2 very different beasts. Even if it uses different tricks, everything ends up in a sample in a dss-1. It's a sampler and you can't compare to an analog synth. Any analog synth. And I'm not saying it's no good, hell no! If I had the space I would have one. Sounds like a ton of bricks. If I had the money and the space I would have both a jupiter and a dss. Jammie is right about reliability issues with the jupiter 8. I would get the 6 instead.
