Might have to track that book down, sounds interesting. I don't know, I tend to think that at least the rates are linear on the CZ since I remember now that diagram in the CZ manual. They probably were telling the truth, your average Joe Schmoo mid eighties synth user doesn't think in trigonometry so I'm guessing that's how it really works.
