Re: [CZsynth] DCO settings in "The Easy CZ Book"

2014-06-17 by Daniel Forró

I have checked the book now, and it's exactly as I have explained my suspicion in my previous message.

Look at it carefully - all patch lists have always as first number on the first line 1, and the first number on the second line 2.

It's nonsensical to suppose that all sounds have ALWAYS a wave number 1 as first one from the two. And to suppose that there's another nonsensical combination of two waves where the first one is ALWAYS a wave number 2.

So once more my explanation: those numbers 1 and 2 at left before the colon are just sequential number of wave (first or second), and the second number (after the colon) is the actual number of the wave. So each DCO has only two waveforms, not four.

So easy is Easy Book format.

All the best!

Hello Lee,

I think we clearly can't set more than 2 waveforms by DCO but my confusion comes from a CZ patch book where 4 waveforms are indicated by DCO.

As JPS mentionned, it is possible to use a total of 8 waveforms in the Tone Mix mode but the patch book I am refering to doesn't seem to give parameters for Tone Mix mode patches as there is only 6 envelopes parameters by patch.

I am sorry to confuse people with my silly question but my question is more related on how to interpret the Easy CZ Book patch parameters...

Thanks & have a nice one,

Jérôme
