Re: [CZsynth] DCO settings in "The Easy CZ Book"

2014-06-17 by Daniel Forró

I think that 1 means Wave Nr. 1, and 2 is Wave Nr. 2. And following the colon is that number of selected wave from 8 possible waves.

Why would be the first number in the first pair of numbers always 1, and the first number of the second pair always 2? All your examples are like this.

Maybe it's so simple.

Hello Alfons & JPS,

I am very glad to see this group is still active!

Thank you for your answer Alfons but I have already read the DCO section of the owner manual (page 24 in English version) and I understand perfectly we can combine 2 different wave forms for each DCO.

But in the Easy CZ Book that contains many patch sheets, 2 wave forms combinations are indicated by DCO. For instance, on the first patch "Parrot Voice" it indicates wave 1:4 and 2:0 for the first DCO and then 1:5 and 2:0 for the second DCO.

As you mentionned JPS, I also thought those patches were meant to be programmed in Tone Mix mode, but there is only envelope settings for both DCO, DCW and DCA, for a total of 6 envelopes. So it doesn't seem like those patches are meant to be programmed in Tone Mix mode.

You both confirmed what I already thought, but I still don't understand why the patch sheets in the book are indicating 4 wave forms by DCO for a total of 8 wave forms selection by tone. If someone already tried to program any Easy CZ book patches, I would also be curious to know why left pointing arrows like '<-' are also sometimes indicated in the envolopes settings. I guess the arrows are pointing on the Sustain points on the envelope but this is not totally clear to me...

Thanks & have a nice one,

Jérôme
