I managed to freak out my DW-8000 once by sending it random sysex data.  It 
sets the parameters beyond their intended values, mostly not doing anything 
special, except for tuning which can result in very drastic transpositions 
and weird tunings, and the delay, which spits out all manner of crazy 
insanity death noise.

It's great making synths do what they're not supposed to.
