I'm playing around with this CZ 101 now. according to the manual, shen the light below the "select" button is on, it's supposed to go to tones 9 - 16. Instead when I do this, it goes to tone mix. That's certainly a weird problem. Are you sure the selection keys aren't stuck down? After 20 years, mine do :o( I'm no expert, but when my CZ101 goes nuts (rarely) I have to do a master reset from the back. I'm positive it's not sticking down. If it was sticking down, I would be having the problem when I turned the synth back on too. By the way, the previous owner told me that that was what he meant by "one bad memory bank", not being able access 9 - 16. By master reset, do you mean the P button on the bottom? well I still have that problem when I turn it on. What I meant was if it was sticking down, it would lock up right when I turn it on I think. One other thing I've noticed, when I play certain keys, the "select" LED will flicker a little bit. If this helps, the light flickers when I play G, any octave. Any other key, it doesn't flicker. He told me about the problem before I got it, but did not provide all the information. He just told me it has "one bad memory bank".
