casio cz 101 patch saving?

casio cz 101 patch saving?

2008-04-23 by mattgiresi

Does anyone know how to make sure the patches you write get saved . I saved a bunch and
after a while they all vanished . Does it have an internal battery too ? Or do you have to load
the 6 batteries in and they keep things saved . Any help would be appreciated . thANKS

I heard a bit of discussion/argument on this, it seems, as I understand it,
the CZ101 will lose memory if not plugged in and if no batteries are in,
although I've not had that experience unless I did so for a rather long
period of time. I normally keep my CZ101 plugged in - off, but plugged in,
and I cannot put in batteries owing to some damage due to some batteries
left in too long.

The CZs have no other internal backup than the 6 batteries.

There is a battery inside the external memory card too(if you have one).

Best thing to do is write it down if you make a really good sound!

I used a program called SoundLib that lets you transfer sounds back and
fourth via midi. Not sure where to get it. Do a search....

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
