Backlight display CZ-1 : How to Adjust ?

Backlight display CZ-1 : How to Adjust ?

2009-02-26 by TTFI

the CZ-1 backlight is out and I have made contact with Sandy at
electric_sketchbook for a new backlight, but I read thru the manual to
see if I overlooked a lighting adjusment may have been turned off. I
read thru the manual and I cannot find any lighting adjustment to make
the backlight display dim or bright. Is there no adjustment, does the
light simply turn on when powering up the CZ-1 and likewise turn off
when powering down ?

Maybe the backlight replacement procedure can be added to the file
section in the future.

any help appreciated.

great casio forum !!!

There is no adjustment for the backlight. It powers up when you turn on
the synth. There is an adjustment for the contrast on the LCD display.
This just makes the characters darker or lighter and can improve the
viewing angle. This is VR2 on the main MA1M board. This trimpot is near
where the ribbon cable plugs in to the board. The Service Manual says
to turn it all the way counter clockwise to start with.
