who still uses a CZ?

howdy,

I do. A CZ-1, and a CZ-101. I sold the second CZ-101 many years back, and I'm sorry I did. Both my 101s have the ARO switch/voice cartridge mod. That gives you 16 more patches in the cartridge by flipping the APO switch. Of course, you are forced to have APO active all the time or not at all, I went for disabling the APO and have never regretted it. Having 32 patches instead of 16 in the carteidge is well worth it.

Howdy,

Yep, I saved that magazine that shows how to make individual outs on the Roland TR-505. Back in the good ole days when Electronic musician hosted many DIY articles. I miss them,(sigh).

CZ230s,101 and 1000 here - note to anyone that does not know - the 230s has 4 RAM areas for your own tones - I use the 1000 to create them and then slot them into the 230.

No AZ1 - seen that a couple of times on ebay - way too expensive pour moi. Very cool though.

I have never had a CZ230s, I seem to recall that many years ago, I successfully tested the CZ230s patches in a CZ5000. (I may have had to change the RAM address, though.)

Re: [CZsynth] Re: who still uses a CZ?

Hi guys, I have a CZ-1000, well actually I have two of them both in perfect working conditions just one of them has like 4 or 5 dammaged keys, and I have no time to make the repair (I don't even know how just to buy new keys to replace the others) but that's the only issue with one of them.

I have a cartridge (I don't remember the model number now) that I get from ebay and now I am storing new sounds there.

I would like to repair they mentioned keys, so if you guys know where can I get them even if it is the complete keyboard assembly, If is not an easy thing I won't have more option than sell it....
Fortunately I have two of them, but it is really sad to have one of those classsic synths turned off just because a few keys.

Andres,
