Casio FZ Shareware Sample Library?

Casio FZ Shareware Sample Library?

2010-10-10 by Paul Herbig

I just got a Casio FZ10m, to compliment my CZ101, and I'm having a hell of a
time finding samples for download. Legend has it there used to be a
shareware collection of hundreds of samples in FZ format, but every link
I've found for this is dead.

Does anyone have that sample library, or know of a good link to it?

Thanks,

-Paul

Where do you live? I am in Germany, and have still a bunch of sounds on floppys. Mostly recorded by myself for my own music back in the eighties. Unfortunately I don't have a FZ anymore and I can't use them. As the drives Casio (and Hohner) were using, are not compatibel to PC drives I also can't read them anymore...
I'd love to send them to you for the price of shipping, if you could extract all the samples and mail them back to me I'd be grateful...
Sometimes its hard to preserve the own history...;-)

Greetings from Berlin,

Stefan

Hi Paul,

I finally got a chance to look through my files and found 143 Casio FZ disk images. These are .fzf files and there's about 150mb of data. If you have a place I can store them online I'll gladly share them. Or I can send you multiple emails that are 25mb or slightly smaller.

I found these on a site somewhere ("The Legend") and saved all of them just in case something like this happened. I don't have an FZ so I can't translate them. My sample stuff is mainly Kurzweil nowadays.

Let me know, Fran

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
