Obviously someone plays with their FZ more than I - I have a sample library built up - but nothing that could match that. In case anyone is interested - the UK ebay has some interesting items on - including the very rare memory upgrade which I have only seen 4 times since using ebay for £80. A library of 56 disks a snip at £160 up in 7hours. The Hohner HS1 for £100 - a white version of the FZ1 as well as the original FZ and FZ10m. It's a bit ironic that retro gear can find itself in the unenviable position of having it's software libraries fetch more money than the gear itself! I have to agree with Charles - it's a pretty amazing machine. --- On Sat, 21/1/12, charlie 'chop' copp <charles.copp@...> wrote:

its a great machine and now that dub an d electro is in they excell at those types of sounds i like to layer 8 of the same voice with different mathamatical detunings to give a mono fat synth the filter is greaty and it does hoover sounds briliantly better than a alphajuno2 as thats what we used to sample into the fz1 and manipulated it in the fz1 with unison detune to make it fater and nastier its also great for wobble basses thats big in dub

Wow! Jammie you are the king of ROM sampling for sure!!! The FZ-1 group files area is full. If you want I can create a second FZ-1 group for another 100mb of storage. If you want I can put you down as a moderator... Or anyone else that wants to help for that matter. I don't like owning a group and being the only moderator. While some of us may live forever I doubt I will be the prime choice for this honor. Fran --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "jack" <jammie.emma@...> wrote:

I used the A3000 in Berlin, the guy flew it over,we were using synced backing tracks,(Soft Cell style) but he played the lot from his computer and he let me have a fiddle, quite impressive also he showed me a German language sequencer forgotten the name of it but looked very like some Atari stuff. Don't worry,I'm not going to turn to the darkside........ Jason

yes yes but you cant do digital on them i use single cycle samples and spectra waves plus samples and layering 8 in unison on a fz1 gives you crazy faT digital sounds and the analog filter is nice in the fz1 and it is analog signal path but has a digital control path and those 8 time segment envelopes are just amazing i have 3 fz1 and i just use them for mono synths i get bass sounds that you cant get on a analog synth i do the same on my asr10s i have 3 tracks of 8 layered patches made off transwaves and play them mono and lfo to filter for woble bass controled by foot controller and the transwave modulation is done by the mod wheel and pitch modulation done by the envelope for hoover type controll and they are amazing no other synth comes close it eats a blofeld for breakfast and i have an unlimited supply of source wave forms no im not breltram but was doing stuff at the same time i just did sound ware for the solaris made by synth guru john bowen famous for the prophet vs the wavestaion korg oasys dsp card z1 and prophecy from them and my sound set was for release at the latest namm over 500 samples was provided

If you want the real thing buy a Memorymoog,18 oscillators on
unison,or for a cheaper alternative a Sequential Circuits Sixtrak/
MultiTrak on mono unison sounds good.
Or even cheaper, whack what you have thru an analog chorus pedal, thats
what I used to do.......lol
J
P.S. are you sure your not Joey Beltram........?

While some of us may live forever I doubt I will be the prime choice for this honor.

may be the end of this year it will use the same usb controller as the dss1 mod the pal chips will be replaced with an fpga that will collect all the signal of the pal chip and use its own memory controler on the fpga a lot like the dss1 mod and a piece of code to access this this will mean an extra rom with the new routines so that it dont have to be loaded by the floppy as is the case with the fz20 scsi implimentation at the moment the pal chip can address 4mb as it has 8 ras signals it will mean bigger samples but still only be 8 note poly as this is the limitation of the hardware i have a lot of projects this year trying to interface to different synths in adding new pcm support like the m1 and tseries and wavestation but will keep people updated when the prototype is working the case for the floppy emulator is priority at the moment which i want to be in production by the end of feb and i have a new filter board being designed for the dss1 allowing it to have the matrix 12 filter responce of 15 different types so im very busy aswell as fixing synths and samplers and fx machine and doing sample wares for hardware synths and soft synths kontakt wusikstation and alchemy and sf2 and the solaris watch this space ----- Original Message -----

Concerning those JD800 and Wavestation sounds do you mean just FZ samples? Or do you have some original cards for selling? Daniel Forro On Jan 25, 2012, at 2:17 AM, jack wrote: > i got the rom from a freind for the jd800 > ...
