CZ-1 Black Keys

CZ-1 Black Keys

2018-10-08 by wadrad@...

Hey all,

Did some searching through old posts, but didn't find this...possibly just missed it, because I think this would have been discussed before.

Does anyone know if the CZ-1 uses the same black keys as the CZ-5000 or CZ-3000? Can find replacements for the 5000/3000, but not sure if it will work for the 1.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Max

From what I can figure out from the parts list in the CZ-1 manual and the CZ-5000 manual, the part numbers for the keys are different. I would imagine that since the CZ-1 keyboard has AT and Velocity and the CZ-5000 doesn't the keys themselves would be different. However, I am not a CZ DIYer; so, maybe someone else here has hands on experience to share (as opposed to just guessing--either informed guessing or uniformed guessing).

Thanks...finally ended up sourcing some black keys from the UK. The irony is this CZ-1 I'm trying to fix was actually my backup or "parts CZ" in case anything happened with my main one. Powers up fine, but no sound from the output jack, and it had 3 broken black keys. Figured I might as well make it a usable backup if I can.
