Hi Mike-

Yes, there is a tuning procedure. If you hold down row 1 and 5 buttons
at the same time, it will tune both filters and both osc waveshapes.
This should only be done after the unit has been on for a while. The
filters will never be perfect - they are analog, after all. The tuning
just
gets the two filters somewhat close to matching. Unless your filters
are way out of whack for some reason, there will unlikely be much of a
noticeable difference in the tuning procedure - which is why it hasnt
been officially documented.

Beyond that, holding down row 1 and 2 together displays the controller
processor version, and 1 and 3 together displays the DSP software
version. There are a couple others that need to remain hidden.

BTW, I hope to have a new software version in about a month with a
handful of new features. Stay tuned...

Thanks a lot for sharing the info, Mike. Sadly though, my filters
are definitely "way out of whack", to use Dave's terminology!

Re: Dave's notes on secret key combos

Dave is aware of this. The tuning aspects in this regard, i.e.
keytrack, etc, have to be done via tweaks in the lookup tables of
the O.S., During beta we spent (I mean Dave spent -- I just kept
asking for more things) some time discussing and working on making
Evolver quite tweaked in regard to notes, etc. for example things
like lfo, mod and envelope amounts if patched to pitch can be set
certain to things like octaves, etc (that is how in one patch in the
shipping evolver that I did that I called "Doc Severinsen" that
sounds like a horn, when you press fully on aftertouch it is
supposed to go up exactly an octave. For some reason on the shipping
version, this came out as only 11 notes up, if any of you look for
that patch, you can go tweak the aftertouch amounnt to make it a
perfect octave and the patch will be correct.) in any event, the
ability for the amount numbers to correspond to octaves and notes is
not accidental at all. The same goes for the filter I believe.

Will it be addresse? I don't know. I hope so!!

Ravi

Play, who has time to play? I've been busting my butt at work and
now I must go out, eat seafood and get drunk with my lady!

(actually I did find 10 minutes to turn on the MM and make a pattern
in my office . . then back to the grind)

TORTURE! :)

I think Newark Airport across the river is the first stop for the UPS flights from Sweden, so express really is express.
