IT is really hard for me to put CUBASE fundementals with Sonar hard truths. I have been using cakewalk since DOS, so I kind of know the proceedure there. Again, I am wrong about 7 times a day, so this might make 8. I set the computer to midi out with the sync to the DTX module. From there I get lost, Because I have to set two or three pages on the DTX to receive and play the midi. The sad thing is, I did this before and it worked wonderfully. Now I am left beating my head against the wall and considering putting the darn thing up for sale on ebay. Thank goodness for the $70 - $100 shipping fee any poor fool would have to pay. ed --- zapaxe <a_zapelectric@...> wrote: > Ah, I understand what you're saying now... > > In Cubase VST, in the Arrange Window, I must select > which midi > instrument go's to the In & Out of each midi track. > > In my own case with Cubase & the DTXpressIII module, > I'm using a > single 'To Host' serial cable instead of the two > regular midi cables > in/out, so in the instrument select, I have to > select the Yamaha CBX > driver as my midi instrument device in the Arrange > Window to make my > DTXpress module work with the 'To Host' cable. > > If say I have a midi drum track in Cubase (whether I > played it > myself or put a pre-made midi drum file there) that > I then want my > DTXpress module to play, I have to select the CBX > driver as my midi > instrument out from Cubase.
