Keith, Thanks for the quick reply. The referenced article seems to point to a hardware problem. That may be the case, even though I replace my original kick pad with a roland one. It seems the mesh ones may be the answer. I'll try your suggestions before I go further down the hardware path, though. I appreciate the info and I'll let you know if it worked. You are then likely to get some double triggering. If it is from the kick on its own (i.e. when you only play the kick you get extra beats) increase the SelfRej setting. If it only when you hit a certain pad, e.g. the snare, then use the SPCRej to reject that a little. If it is generally from any pad, use the Rej parameter. Keith.
