Well done with the Sysex Manager! I'll start uploading files soon... My MIDI setup is simple at the moment. I have one cable going from MIDI Out to the MIDI/joystick connector on the soundcard (AWE32). This is fine for pushing MIDI notes into the PC from my keyboard. However, connecting this cable on the DTXpress MIDI Out and hitting drums produces nothing on the soundcard. I guess I need the PC-HOST connector for that. It figures that the MIDI Out jack is really only useful for bulk dumps. Strange...there should be no reason why you can't just hit pads and get a MIDI Note On/Off message sent to your soundcard on Ch10 (or whatever). MIDI In/Out is really all you need. You can still send Sysex messages thru these. The fact that there's this "other" PC-HOST socket is annoying. Have you got one of these, Chris? How do you wire it up? I understand it should go in the serial or parallel port on the PC. How do you get MIDI to/from there? See ya'll =====
