Re: [DTXpress] Re: Looking for DTXpress II , MIDI help

In re: this issure w/the DTXII module and external MIDI devices not
working....

I would like to ask if someone who has experienced the problem could
recreate PRECISELY what they do to *demonstrate* the problem. I'd like to
see if I could make this symptom appear using my setup here. I have a
pretty good experience w/computers and MIDI and I'd like to know if this
is a problem that my DTXII might be succeptable to or if this is a
problem that only mainfests in other people's setups?

Maybe a detailed, step-by-step description would allow others to provide
comment when they try to replicate the symptoms w/their setup? For
example, you could do a description like this:

1-Turn on the DTXPressII and do a factory reset
2-Place the HOST SELECT switch on the DTXpressII into "MIDI" position.
3-Connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI out port of a regular MIDI keyboard
to the MIDI in port of the DTXpress module
4-Press the VOICE button on the DTXpressII
5-Press the value + button until you see "27 JamKit 99"
6-Set the MIDI keyboard to MIDI channel 10
7-Press the MIDDLE C on the keyboard
8-The DTXPressII makes the sound of a 1)truck horn if not working 2)snare
drum if working correctly

This would allow all of us to test the process and see if our system are
(not) functioning as expected. Trying diligently to be more helpful than
annoying.... :)
