Ed, I tried your suggestion. I also tried the suggestions of members of other yahoo groups. Basically nothing worked at all. So I took a different approach which solved the problem. By the way I have the original DTXpress not the DTXpressII Ok, So there is a MIDI dump option to dump only the user-set drum patched. I poked around Sonar and found a library of sysex bank I could use. I dumped into Sonar. Then I reset the DTXpress to facotry settings. Midi seemed to work fine. Then I dumped my pacth presets back into the DTXpress. Again everything works. So that was my solution.
