RHH130 on DTXPress II

RHH130 on DTXPress II

2005-01-09 by wzk283

I have just bought a RHH130 to add to my DTXPress II Setup and have
a few questions which somebody maybe able to answer (ODG :)
1. The instructions state : "In the Trigger Setup Edit Mode Gain,
Minimum Velocity, set the Gain to 40%" does that mean the Gain
setting or the MVel setting?

2. Is there anything the old HH foot controler can be used for, I
thought maybe I could connect it to the kick pad to act as a double
bass but that did not work.

I am awaiting the delivery of my 120S Snare Pad to finish my
Christmas Upgrade :)

Thanks

Mark,

I think OGD is milking the cows and feeding the chickens this
morning. 1. Gain is the parameter that shows up in percentage.
Minimum velocity is just a straight numerical setting. Once you're in
the trigger menu for the hi hat, adjust gain to read 40%. But always
feel free to experiment if it doesn't suit you. 2. The controller can
be used as a kick but only in input 1, I think; set it up under pad
type in the trigger menu. You still need a stereo cable. Maybe you
can split the kick input and get a double bass that way. If you try
it, let me know whether it works. OGD's tried nearly everything with
the Yamaha equipment, so he may know. Congratulations on the 120S.

Old Bessy was out flirty with a new bull next door, had a hard time
getting her out of the field and into the barn for milking this
morning..was out with a sharp hatchet running down a chicken for
dinner.. :)

The HH65 will work as a kick on input one using a stereo cable. (Page
36, 1.1 Pad Type, under 2-Type, second note.). Move the KP65 up to
input 9, use a mono cable. They can then both be used as kicks.

Cheers both,

I will give it try now, one last question, I am right in thinking
that the red knob on the 120S cannot be used with the dtxpress II
for anything?

Thanks again

Nothing electronic. But it does make a nice panic button.
