Please Help

Hi,

A few days ago I received my DTXpress. One of the main reasons why I
bought it was the fact my neighbors were complaining about excessive
volume levels. I was absolutely sure this will be the solution to the
problem.
However, it turns out I was wrong, one of my neighbors who lives
right above my apartment is still complaining - I personally think
that the reason could only be the kick pad.
How can I make it sound quieter? Should I replace the pedal beater?
Should I place the DTXpress over some stage? Should I cover the pad
with something?

Please help me, especially if you have any experience with such a
problem - this neighbor is fuckin' crazy and he threatens that he
won't let us sleep at night (he's cleaning his house between
1:00-2:00 AM).

Thanks,
Nir.

P.s: if you could E-mail me an answer it will be more comfortable.

I would guess that the pedal noise is going into the floor and
shaking the whole apartment. Yes, I think a softer beater would help.
Also, you might want to put the whole set on a carpet or foam pad.

Or perhaps you need to do your drumming between 1:00-2:00 a.m. :)

Hi...

If u ask me u should tell ur neighbour 2 go fuck himself....he's obviously got nothing better 2 do..my DTXpress is usually situated upstairs and the noise downstairs is very minimal. I'm using a normal felt beater and Premier 2000 series pedal. 1 other solution is 2 use the hi-hat pedal as ur kick drum although this isn't the perfect solution.

All the best and if u want, i'll send the boys round 2 have a "quiet" word with ur neighbour !!! LOL ! ;o)

Lovesign
Peace & B Wild.
