Hello and thanks for the precious information, I downloaded and installed the program, but when tryed to run it, the response has been "INVALID DEVICE ID".... I installed dEXTD in windows 2K and the computer wasn't connect to DTXepress... Can you give me any information about the DEXTD requirement... Here is what I got from Peter on the same issue - it solved my problem. The DTExpress needs to be hooked up to midi ports - and the program expects a MIDI IN - so this fix helps run it without midi connected...... GAry, It's been a while since I looked at the code but I suspect that the program looks for MIDI interfaces and expects to find at least 1, in which case it's sloppy error trapping on my part. If that is the problem the quick fix would be to load something like MIDI Yoke which will give you a few "software" MIDI interfaces. First Post.... I'd like to play around with Dextd before while waiting for the midi cables to arrive... I get the DEVICE ID error on my laptop, too. Apparently need a virtual MIDI device like MIDI Yoke. The MIDIOX site seems to be down and can't seem to locate a copy or alternative program... Any suggestions?
