Inkspots on the edges are usually indications of "headstrikes " - the print head is actually contacting the paper - humidity will often cause a bit of swelling of the edges and or curvature of the paper - two solutions - work in a humidity controlled environment - expensive, keep your paper in a humidity controlled environment - a little easier - - OR try making prints with wider margins - this will keep the printhead over the paper most of the time - in the long run headstrikes are not good for the equipment - and are to be avoided - if you can adjust your platen gap do so - Berel Lutsky [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
