Byron,

I would opt for a refurbed 1280 ($399 direct from Epson with warentee) over
the 1270. More people are using the 1280 and there will be more workflow and
seperation curve choices. Also leaves Piezo open as a possibiltiy.

I have some virgin 1280 cartridges and chips from MIS that I hope to get
around to using in my 2nd 1280 sometime soon. I have not heard of any
problems with their one time chips for their carts. Their reset software for
there CFS system is only Win 98 compatible I believe.
