Ok, on a PC, up to and including Windows 7 QTR works with any editor that can output TIFF files (ideally 16 bit, but 8 bit is OK too). it includes a default colour space space file that the file should ideally be converted to using the editor. QTR includes a program (qtrgui) that on the PC takes the file, picks up the profile for the printer and ink, and processes the file and outputs to the printer. Photoshop elements is probably OK, though I haven't used it myself - someoner else may be able to confirm. No idea whether QTR and gtrgui are compatible with Windows 8 (which I aim to avoid buying!), and nor can I help with the 1500W printer, sorry! If you are intending to use the piezography inks, you'll need to ask them - while they use the QTR driver, they use custom curves generated by them. I'm not even sure the MIS inks are supported directly by QTR - having looked at what's installed for QTR for the 1400 printer on my PC, there appears to be only a curve for the single Ultrachrome black ink. You may be able to get curves for the inks elsewhere (as I don't have a 1400 printer, I haven't looked); otherwise you'd have to develop your own. The best reference I'm aware of for printing with qtr on the PC remains the one written by Tom Moore, available at http://www.quadtonerip.com/User%20Guide.pdf rossfmj wrote: > > That'll be the next question.
