Digital BW, The Print

I have done some B & W conversion of gray scale of color photos. I 
use Photoshop 7 or Paint shop Pro to tune them for contrast. I perfer 
to send upload them to ofoto.com and have them print. I have been 
happy with the quality. I use a Fujifilm 6900Z and the quality is 
outstanding. I am always looking for tips on how to imporve my 
photos.I also want to learn how to color tint portions of my B & W 
Photos. Does anyone do this sort of thing?
