Digital BW, The Print

I received the 2200, and my Win XP appeared to have a driver already loaded
for it.  The appearance of the driver was just like the usual newer Epson
drivers.  However, the shadow UT2 densities were not smooth.  Being curious
what the driver on the CD that came with the printer would look like, I
loaded that one.  Suddenly the shadow tones were smooth.

 

Questions - Has anyone else noticed driver differences?  Do most stay with
the pre-loaded XP driver or load the one from the CD?

 

(UT2 will not run as is on the 2200; some work is needed.)
