Josh I cannot tell what scale your image is. The banding I see under a magnifying glass when the heads are out of alignment does not look like that. Then it is discreet rows of dots forming lines that at a distance can be seen as bands. At a larger scale I sometimes see these dark areas and I put it down to the liquid soaking into the paper and causing it to ripple. I must also admit that the dark bands are at right angles to the direction of the heads... I have seen it a lot on EEM. John
