That's a good idea. Something else while we're on the subject of Kirkland. I'm bothered my a lot of people saying that this paper is manufactured by Ilford. That just doesn't make sense to me. From my understanding, Ilford doesn't sell any paper that even come close to the quality of this paper. Ilford, to my knowledge, doesn't sell an acid-free, buffered paper. I think the best Ilford apaer are only good for about 20 yrs., max. Last year a very talented professional photographer showed me a beautiful color portrait on Ilford paper. He even admitted it would only last about 10 yrs. It was printed on an Epson 1280. If anyone knows for sure that Kirkland paper is made by Ilford, I'd like to know. I want to contact Ilford about having it made and in other sizes, too. Also, I understand it's great for color work (although, I'm mainly interested in B&W) Scott --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "awahlster" <awahlster@a...> wrote: > > Scot a suggestion if you buy more then one box try a few sheets pread > throughout the stack to see if there is any problem that way you > aren't trying to return something weeks after you bought it. > > Also the young lady said she would tag a note on the return report as > to why it was being returned she said that Costco because they are > basically suppilers to businesses they really take product quality to > heart especially when it is theor house brand. > > Mark W. > > > > > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, > "scott_now_coming" <scott_now_coming@y...> wrote: > > > > I'm expecting my bulk ink to arrive by Monday. > > > > I plan on filling carts, installing them in the printer, running a > > few nozzel checks and the letting it sit for while I run to Costco to > > buy some KG. > > > > I report my opinion after I make a print or two. > > > > I'm ver excited towards the prospects of this paper. > > > > Scott > > > > > > > > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "awahlster" > > <awahlster@a...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Scott none of the paper has had any logo on the back. > > > > > > the two boxes I bought yesterday were from the same lot number > > > (printed on the back of the box) One package has so far been fine > > > (made about 6 prints from it) the other at least the first 20 pieces > > > showed the problem faint line. > > > > > > The second box while being on the same pallet (not knowing if it > > > arrived that way or not) Has a different lot number.
