Again tonight I tried Paul's curves on Kirkland paper, with the same ill-fated results. I must have a different driver (latest), or ink batch (Nov 04), or printer firmware (who knows), than Paul. My comparison to QTR is here: http://www.pmb.net/darkroom/ 2005/01/roark-curves-vs-qtr-for-kirkland-paper.html In comparing EvenTone dither with Ordered, I found Ordered dither to be slightly (but still visibly) darker, perhaps with more contrast. I was not able to quantify the dot pattern differences.
