Like Greg suggested, I have the printer off and move the head over to the
left to soak the parking pad.  To do this, you have to move the top of the
gear on the far left inside the printer toward you to lower a peg that holds
the print head in its parking position at the right.  Then when the pads are
soaked and clean, move the head back to its position on the right, move the
gear away from you and turn the printer back on.
