I asked here about losing my colour management ... and it seems like it might be a Vista problem - here is the evidence:

Monitor Profile Doesn't Load Automatically - Vista

Vista seems to unload calibration profiles.  Until this is resolved by driver fixes or changes in the operating system, load profiles manually with the "Calibration Loader"

Has anyone else had this issue?

Why unplugging something from the usb port should do this though, is beyond me.
