I have had problems w/this also on the 1400, and what worked for me is to unplug the printer for 1 full minute, not just a few seconds, then plug it back in, to reset the chips. I also had to remove and replace the carts when that didn't work...it is a trial/error because it's diff. each time... but it does work eventually. Bottom line is you have to do 'both', which makes no sense, so you are dealing w/tricking some bad coding, in just the right sequence that you find to work when the moon is at the right angle, and the tide is just the right height; but at least it is do-able...keep trying, and it will reset. (w/this printer all the hassle is worth it). > > I have the Eb6 inkset with auto reset chips in my 1400. When the ink level gets down under 10% and I need to reset the chip do I just turn the printer off and then on or do I have to remove and re-seat the cart? MIS says to re-seat the cart but I thought I read here that turning off and on works too. If I re-seat won't I have to prime the cart again? > > Thanks, > > Tom Husband > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
