Also, do they have a phone number? I have some problems with my account and need to talk to them to get it fixed. Does anyone know if they are going to keep supplying Eboni 6 Inks? Thanks

I think their volume for that product is increasing, and with my current "Eboni-4 Plus" approach it should increase further. The Image Specialists Mk is available from other sources also. Bulk Eboni-6 ink is ordered from http://www.inksupply.com/eb6.cfm The 1400 pre-loaded Eboni-6 (Eb6) carts are at http://www.inksupply.com/eb6.cfm near the bottom of the page, above the UT14 carts. (The UT14 C and LC are used instead of the Eb6 C and LC for the Eb4+ approach. See draft PDF at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Eboni-4-Plus.pdf) Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Thanks Paul, I was trying to help a fellow in Spain get set up with a dedicated 1400 and Eboni6 and he tells me he has tried on several occasions to contact them but does not get a reply. Didn't know if they had quit handling Eboni or were closed due to weather or ????????? --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul" <roark.paul@...> wrote:

Paul, Any progress on the WF1100? I had to toss out my 1400 because of clog I couldn't clear. Tried for months. The 1400 with QTR made great prints. I need a replacement printer. Thanks, Scott

The Epson WorkForce printers, like the 1100, are aimed at the business user. They are amazingly fast at text printing, and their head arrangement is made for that -- mostly black ink, and little devoted to "color" -- which would be the midtone grays. QTR does not support the WorkForce printers. So, I've made some basic curves that can be used directly or in an ICC to get quite good matte prints and reasonable glossy prints (when PK is loaded). However, the native ink limits of the 1100 are not very good. So, printing with no profile is not going to produce very good prints. The bottom line is that I'd only buy one of these if the primary use was business printing. I'll put together a minimalist PDF with some basic profiles, but the printer isn't good enough to get a very high priority of my time. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
