Can I feed 380 gsm paper through the top slot in the 2100?

Can I feed 380 gsm paper through the top slot in the 2100?

2004-09-05 by yaakovsinclair

I just got some heavier German Etching (380 gsm?), can I feed it
through the top slot or do I need to go in through the back? (Which
seems a little complicated from the help menu)
thanks!

Through the back. The 2200 I have recommends the manual feed slot for
velvet fine art which is a lowly 260gsm. So a heavier 380 is way more.
It's not that hard, after moving the lever, push the paper in until
you see a half inch or so and hold it against the right edge of the
slot. There is enough of an edge in there that you can rock the paper
and you can feel it when it is square. Then while holding the paper
raise the lever 2 notches and you're ready.

Hmm...I've been using PR308 in the sheet feeder (2200) with the selector set
to +. Everything _seems_ to work as normal, but is that a problem perhaps?

I feed PR308 through the top feed of my `1280 with no problem. I need
to leave the selector set to -0- or it doesn't print as cleanly.
Everything is exactly as I print EEM. This may not be the "proper" way
but it works good for me.
