Steve I am on Mac OS 10.2.6

Ok - I use a Mac and 10.3.5. I use a custom paper size without any issues. With your settings problem (non sticking) have you saved a setting set and named it? I find this works fine but each time I make sure that I select the named setting (even if it was the used the last time). One piece of software I have found very useful in the past is Printer Setup Repair which you can use to repair permissions, CUPS issues etc. You might want to download it and run it through (you can get it via www.Versiontracker.com).

Steve, I looked for Printer Setup Repair on VersionTracker and do not see it, even with a search. Does it go by another name? Mark On Sep 8, 2004, at 8:41 AM, Steve Kale wrote: > Printer Setup Repair

I ran into a problem using custom paper sizes in QTR recently and Roy told me that it is an issue with Jaguar (OS 10.2.x) and ghostscript - no problems with Panther (10.3.x) which does not use ghostscript. Also, different applications use different algorithms or pathways for printing so in some cases custom paper sizes will not work when printing through QTR from Photoshop, but printing via QTR from Apple's Preview application will work. I just went through this problem with Mac OS X 10.2.8, QTR and an Epson 7600, and roy and I puzzled it through via email and experimentation. The bottom line is that the custom papers sizes your create in Page Setup do not work with QTR under 10.2.x (or, at least, under 10.2.8 as installed on my Powerbook G4). I finally upgraded to OS X 10.3.5 this past weekend, and now all works as it should. As an added bonus, my 7600 prints faster now with the upgraded OS. Yes, I just went through the same using OS 10.2.8 and QTR on a G4. However, I was able to get custom paper sizes to print with QTR via Apple's Preview application, but not with Photoshop (CS). Following was Roy's explanation of what was going on, based on the error logs I sent to him.
