Does anyone know how well PremierArt Print Shield spray eliminates bronzing using MIS UT7 inks on Epson Premium Luster paper. Is there an optimal time to apply the spray after printing, or doesn't it matter? -Ben

Print Shield greatly reduces the bronzing, but it does not totally eliminate it. The lower the bronzing is before the spray, the better the final product will be. I think among Epson Premium papers, the Premium Semimatte may have the least bronzing. For some reason it's only being sold in rolls (even though I have a beta 17x22 box of it that seems fine). Michel, I've never kept track of the worst papers -- there are so many. One person suggested Ilford Galerie Smooth Glossy. It's bad, but it seems typical of many or the high gloss pigment-compatible papers. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

I have no idea if or when Epson will release Premium Semimatte in 17 x 22 or other sheet sizes. They have a pro media department that might be worth contacting. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

From what I can tell Epson UltraSmooth is the same as PremierArt Fine Art Hot Press, which is available in various sizes and weights. WWW.ITSupplies.com may have the best stock and prices. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Yea, it is, and the Premier Art comes in a larger variety of weights than the Ultra Smooth. From what I've been told it is the same media but Epson puts an additional coat on it. But, regardless they profile the same and are identical as far as my eye can see. I keep asking who is the Premier Art company that is doing such nice r & d and no one seems to know where they came from. John

Where does one buy the Premier Fine Art paper and what is the exact name. I want the paper that is like Epson UltraSmooth, but I need it in sheet form for my 2200. Thanks. I've run numerous tests now with FAHP and offcuts of Ultrasmooth from rolls. it's that epson coating that seems to make the difference. Ultrasmooth gives better blacks/dmax, a 'crisper' prints (and better colour) than FAHP. which is a shame, as FAHP has a lovely feel to it and almost no flaking - as well as a variety of weights tim
