2200 and Entrada question

2200 and Entrada question

2005-03-09 by Mr_Misty_44

This is just a short one. For those who are using Entrada 300g paper
or other 300g paper with the 2200. Where do you set the paper lever.
For paper or envelope. What is the heaviest paper used and if paper
is OK for 300g what is the point at which one should switch to
Envelope setting. And, by the way what is the third mark under
neath the envelope setting which causes the paper light to blink?
Thanks as always,
John H

Hi John,

I use the envelope setting for all papers, align while it's on that setting,
using a scrap of the same paper thickness you intend to print with. The
third mark is the paper load setting, for feeding your paper thru the back,
where you should be loading for those thicknesses. I use the back feed for
all papers except plain paper used for nozzle checks.

At least on the 2100 there is paper (top), envelope, CD and then the very
bottom one which (causes the paper light to blink and) lifts the print head
all the way up and is used when initially rear-loading paper. I use the
envelope button for any paper rear-loaded. 300gsm should be rear-loaded.

My 2200 feeds 300gsm Entrada OK from the top, but only on the first
pass...on a second pass (two sided) it needs to be flexed slightly to
overcome the slight curvature put in it via the first pass. 300gsm is
right at the limit for top loading.

This has to do with my table space...2200 is currently up against a wall.
