C86 waste pads

C86 waste pads

2005-08-31 by Paul Roark

Has anyone changed the C86 waste pads and re-set the printer? Mine is
flashing a warning now, so it'll shut down on me soon, I'm sure.

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml might do the job, though not really
sure. I think you will need a windows machine to run it too. I have
never used this software, so I can't really help or verify that it
will work. The alternative is to buy a service manual to find the
reset procedure (if it has one).

Hi Paul

The service utility does support the c-series printers, and will
probably work. One friendly warning: the amount of Rumanian-Russian-
Ukrainian and God-knows what-else spam has quadrupled since I
downloaded it, and they have been RELENTLESS. If you have a way to get
it with out exposing your URL I would do that.

PS- I'd be happy to email it to you

Ahhhh.... The joys of having a dozen or more free-mail accounts.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
