Lenswork ABW settings

2008-02-13 by jymbo4600

Hi,

I believe it was in this forum that I read, some time ago, of the
settings in Epson ABW that matched the tone of Lenswork's look. I had
a 2200 at the time so I didn't write them down. I now have a refurb
3800 and would like to see that look on some of my prints. If anyone
remembers them they can post to my e-mail if they deem it too OT.

Thanks, Jim Weekes

If someone has them, I would love to get the Photoshop settings for
that look

Is it really that simple? Isn't it all about the screening and inks
used when the magazine is printed?

This method doesn't use ABW but uses the Duotone/Quadtone feature in
Photoshop. Instructions and the curves can be downloaded here free:

The Ken Lee duotones look like a good option. But the post I read did
give settings in ABW. They were two numbers for the horizontal and
vertical settings. It may have been another of my groups but this
seemed the logical forum. Thanks for your help.

Best, Jim

Neutral, H= +10 Vertical= +10, Shadow -15, Hi=lites +10
Med Warm, H=+20, Vert.= +20, Shadow -15, hi-lites +10
Warmer, H=+40, Vert.=+40, shadows -15, hi-lites +10

These will give you a good starting point. There were several other values given in this
forum, quite a while ago.

Martin
