> What is the optimum number of oscillators for a Doepfer system? Well that would very much depend on the type of patch you're typically going to want to make. In general i think that you can not have enough oscillators in a modular. I've currently got 5 ( 1* a-111, 3*a-110, 1*planB model15) and am looking at a couple more, probably another a-111, two more model 15's, a MFB triple vco and the new livewire vco. Oh and obviously the dynamic doepfer vco and the quadrature thru-zero vco once they become available ,-) If you do a lot of drones or single-pitch sounds you can also use the doepfer quad lfo as a sound-source, without frequency CV however. I've got two of those for that purpose. > Can a polyphonic A100 system be realised? Yes. But you'll need a) a MIDI->CV interface that handles polyphony as well as b) quite a lot of modules (at least one VCO, VCF, VCA + ENV per voice) > If i have VCF3 & VCF5 filters in my system now, which filter do you > recommend i add next? > Thanks. > My faves are the Wasp-Filter, the SSM-Filter, the vatrol multimode and the moog 48 db. I'm quite confident the diode filter is also cool. Best, d
