Surely I can't be the only one who regularly uses a midi synth with a built-in arpeggiator as a controller for their modular system? I find my Korg Z1 and my Yamaha KX-25 serve more than adequately all my apreggiator needs. The latter of these can be picked up second hand for pea

As a ballpark figure I'd say 200-300 Euro. A more precise calculation can be made not before more details are fixed. Most of the charges depend on the mechanical parts (front panel, sockets, switches, LCD cover, pcb dimensions) and the features (because of the working time requir

Maybe it's not a good idea to bring an arpeggiator to the market as many companies disappeared after that :-) We discussed an arpeggiator module for the A-100 many times in the company but never got to the point. Then we lost track of this idea for the benefit of other modules. B

I did the math in my head last night, but just repeated now on paper. Looks like you need to go low to high in 25us for a 20khz signal. You'd need close to a 1v per us slew. I think? Check my working :) Sent from my fone On 4 Jul 2012, at 07:06, "therpocc" wrote: > Correct me if

Correct me if i wrong, but 0.4v/us is right how much wee need to process 10vpp ideal 20 kHz triangle waveform. One half-cycle is equal to 10v slew in 25us. Simple calculations give us exactly 0.4v/us to achieve this slew rate. Maybe this parameter is often overrated or requires s

That makes sense. For proper modules such as yours, most of the effort goes into the things that people take for granted so much that they don't even think about. So the amateur ones seem easy to make... until they break because they're not properly protected. :)

Indeed such a module is not very challenging for an electronic designer. But you have to keep in mind some pre-conditions for a modular system: 1. All inputs, outputs, controls and so on have to be available at a suitable front panel 2. All inputs and outputs have to be protected

I myself would be happy with a step sequencer that allowed you to enter the notes via a MIDI keyboard. You would set the sequencer to "record", enter the notes till done, hit "stop" and then you played them like you would a normal analogue sequencer with knobs. No timing or note
