How to recreate Dark Energy using Euro modules

2012-02-06 by the_real_dripfeed

I miss my Dark Energy, which I traded for some Euro modules as I was growing my new modular rack. And it got me thinking: What modules would I need to recreate a Dark Energy (and don't say A-111-5...that's cheating)? It's trickier than it sounds because I'm not sure which Doepfer

You have to be a bit careful as the 1200 mA rating is not altogether accurate. It depends how hot your system is - is it on stage under lights, is it in a closed flightcase, is it in a studio rack with valve gear or Mytek converters underneath it? Also, it's not a case of the PSU

Hi Raul, The Doepfer A-100 manual has a chart telling you the amount of mA of each module. Just add the mA amounts hooked to one power supply. Regardless if you run 1 our 4 busses with one power unit. It's the amount of mA each of the attached consumes. Best wishes Jakob Am 29.01
