Power surge headroom psu2

Power surge headroom psu2

2016-07-15 by jaccoville@yahoo.com

Hello there,

Besides my big system I am building a small setup targeted for dronelike sounds.
With a Doepfer A-100LC9 Low Cost case 9HE incl. A-100PSU2 still unused I filled it with Doepfer modules (ofcourse).
With a calculation for powersurge I came to 960mA.
Now I know that the psu2 is good for 1200mA but there are two A110 VCOs and two A143-4 units.
I know that these 10 VCOs have Tempco.
When warming up is my powersupply on the safe side?
What reserve does the psu2 have?

Best regards

Jacco Ville

....and for just to be (in)sure(d)...

I replaced the psu2 for a psu3
There is really nothing to it, 15 minutes work.
Only the 5V wire is a piece I'll have to get at work.
But don't need it with the todays setup.
With 2000mA of power under the hood I feel a lot better.

Almost finished, just have to measure the voltages.

And then ...." fill it up George".
A small drone station

Cheers

Jacco Ville
